High Locks Deposit & Cancellation Policy
We respect that your time is valuable and appreciate that you understand ours is too. If appointments are cancelled or rescheduled at short notice, or if you do not attend an appointment, this means we are unable to re-use that time for other patients.
If your appointment time becomes inconvenient for you, we are always happy to change it if you provide us with two business days’ notice. This allows us to schedule in a patient who may be in urgent need of our care.
Missed appointments and late cancellations represent a cost to the practice, to you and to other patients who could have been seen in the time set aside for you. Failed appointments can sometimes interfere with dental treatment and create unnecessary scheduling problems for other patients.
We strive to accommodate the appointment needs of our patients, and make every effort to keep on time for appointments scheduled.
Failure to provide us with 48 hours advance notice or failure to attend for a scheduled appointment will result in a cancellation or no-show fee. This fee will equate to £60 per half an hour of clinical time lost.
It is understandable that sometimes cancellations cannot be helped due to illness or emergency and we take all valid circumstances into account.
A £100 deposit will now be taken when booking any treatment that takes one hour or more. This will be deducted from your bill for the relevant treatment. We guarantee that where notification to cancel appointments is given, with more than 48 hours’ notice, deposits will be refunded or offset against further treatment required.
Where late cancellations are notified (including failing to attend without notification) with less than 48 hours’ notice, we will retain your deposit or deduct a treatment from a course of prepaid treatments. To help patients minimise the chance of losing their deposit or treatments from their courses we do call a minimum of 48 hours ahead of appointments. Although due to circumstances beyond our control this may not always be possible and patients should therefore not rely on a telephone call reminder.
Notification is always best by calling the practice on 01778 347677 or if there are difficulties with you doing so, then email at email@example.com The sooner notification is given the sooner we are able to offer your appointment to another patient and avoid your deposit being retained.
Due to several missed appointments by new patients, High Locks Dental Practice will now take a £99 non-refundable deposit over the phone before new patients attend the practice to secure their initial consultation.
We appreciate and thank you for your support and understanding in this matter
and look forward to seeing you soon.
